For a website I am building for a client one requirement is that certain roles shall only be able to create a limited number of nodes of certain content types. The website is also going to be available in multiple languages and users shall of course be able to create translations of their own nodes.
At first I thought this was going to be a quite complicated requirement to solve. It turned out to be the complete opposite and ended up being a very elegant solution.

Early last week Angie "webchick" Byron posted a tweet about that we might see a new Drupal 7 release mid this week. That is now and I am starting to get a little nervous.
Why? Well, I have been running Nutshell on Drupal 7 alpha 5 for a month now, as well as enabled a bunch of contributed modules. Since we are talking about an alpha version, there are still chances things will change and break my site when I update it to the new release.

As all of us who have been playing with Drupal 7 have seen all the changed in its user interface. Not only have things been moved around, many features have also been renamed. This has resulted in a much more logical user interface, especially when it comes to administration of a Drupal based website.
Once you get over the first dizziness of feeling lost in the new structure you will appreciate the changes as you will be able to work more efficient.

I just received some website feedback regarding my Drupal 7 Taxonomy Reinvented post. Since the question is an interesting one, I thought it would be better to write a post so more people can make use of the answer.
The question from pantherqin:
I have installed drupal 7 alpha 5 on my server. And inputed several tag words in taxonomy.

That Drupal is gaining momentum all over the Internet being used by more and more well known organisations is something we in the Drupal community are getting used to.
A few days ago, Scott Reynolds wrote the New Digg Drupal Modules post on Digg's Technology Blog about Drupal being used both for Digg About and their forthcoming developer site. He also mention that Digg are very existed about the upcoming Drupal 7 release.

I just noticed that the number of critical issues now has gone down to exactly 50 left. That is definitely a milestone to notice.
Of course, it will keep going up and down, but in the last week I have seen much more activity in the issue queue. Part reason for why it has been a little slow before was due to that both Dries Buytaert and Angie "webchick" Byron have moved lately and thus been tied up with that. Now they are back to committing patches again.

In my Drupal 7 Taxonomy Reinvented post I mentioned that the synonyms option for terms are removed in Drupal 7.
When searching for some other features I stumbled on the Synonyms module at drupal.org. This module does not only add back the option, but also integrates with the search module as well as making it easier to find related nodes.

The Drupal Localize Server project show real promise in its quest to make Drupal a great platform for multilingual websites.
Before you had to download a language file for Drupal Core. Even though many modules come with language files, those translations aren't always complete and you have to wait for new releases to get updates.

Garfield hate Mondays, I don't. Especially not Mondays like this. When I turned off my computer about 10 hours ago there where 65 critical issues for Drupal 7. Now there are 58.
The Drupal community took of more than 10% of the critical issues while I had my beauty sleep.
Thanks guys, I should probably go back to sleep now. When I wake up the number might be under 50 :)
