Drupal 7 Release Parties All Over the World

I'm sure most of you are buzzing about the imminent release of Drupal 7. A few days ago Drupal 7 RC2 (Release Candidate 2) was released so it is now very close to the official version being rolled out.

Drupalers all over the world are now planning local launch parties, using the Firefox 1.0 launch parties as inspiration. Do help organise this www.drupal7releaseparty.org was launched yesterday. On that site you can register your local party as well as find out if anyone is already planning a party near where you live. Aren't the Drupal community very special and fun to be part off?

Unfortunately I don't know many Drupalers down here in San Pedro de Alcántara (just outside Marbella in Spain). If you live near here maybe we can try and plan something local for the launch?
