Jen Simmons Bartik Theme now in Drupal 7 Core

At 7:28 this morning (my time) Jen Simmons tweeted that "Bartik is in core!. This is great news since Bartik is a fantastic theme that really takes advantage of the new features in Drupal 7.

I use a slightly customised version of Bartik here on Nutshell. As soon as the new Drupal 7 alpha (or dare we hope on a beta this time) is released this week I will start working on updating Nutshell to the new version.

If you want to play with Bartik already now you can go to the project page and download the just released RC3 version of it.

The new core themes Drupal 7 Core will come with are going to provide a great start. Compared to the themes in Drupal 6 this is so much better. No more table based themes, no more Garland mess (Garland in Drupal 7 is completely rewritten too).
