Is it a Car or an Airplane? No, its a CarPlane!

When I was living back home in Sweden, we had a airfield only four kilometres from our house. The airfield was used by a glider plane club and from spring to fall there very activity all the time, especially during the holiday season.

As soon as I turned 15 I started taking my flying lessons and that same summer I got my pilot license for glider planes. I still remember the first solo flight, during training, I did as well as many other flight. Such as hitting the perfect thermal winds, hot air that that lifts your glider plane so you can stay up longer. In that particular case I went from about 300 meters to 2,000 meters in no time. Boy, what a feeling that was.

Enough of memories and on to the reason for this post.

Terrafugia is a US company, which recently got an OK from the FAA to make their Terrafugia Transition airplane a possibility. A new airplane is not really big news, but whats different here is that it is also a car. Yes, it is a CarPlane and you can now reserve it if you want to own one.
